Destruction of Devic Monastery 17-18 March
These photos are showing the ruins of the Devic Monastery near Srbica. After the
attack of nearly 5000 local Albanians French KFOR evacuated the nuns and
vandals entered the monastery and set it on fire. The tomb of the famous Devic
saint St. Joanikije (15 th) century was opened and the relics were burned (photos
8, 9, 10) The holy table in the sanctuary was cut into two peaces (12.jpg). At
the end Kosovo Albanian mob desecrated the tombs at the nuns' cemetery
