Pristina, Monday, January 31, 2005, (KosovoLive) - The EU High representative for Foreign Policy and Security Javier Solana told KosovoLive that he supports the direct dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina on missing persons.
"Direct dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is also very important. I support the SRSG in his move to re-start dialogue in the working group on Missing Persons. People have the right to know the faith of their loved ones", he said.
Asked if he believes that by mid 2005, Albanians, Serbs and the international
Community will be ready to start negotiations on the status, Solana said that ?the future is in your hands. You will be ready if Standards are fulfilled. Everything you do or chose not to do will influence your future and the future of Kosovo.
He reiterated that 2005 is a very important year. Progress on Standards implementation, including the creation of genuine multi-ethnic society and protection of minorities, are essential to move forward.
