Serbs Live In Fear Of New Albanian Violence
GLAS JAVNOSTI
February 23, 2005
Belgrade, 22 Feb (Glas Javnosti) - Tomislav Nikolic, the deputy president of the Serbian radical party stated that his party will not bring down the Serbian Government in March, because of the new danger for the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija that are threatened by the new Albanian violence.
Also before Nikolic's warning, it was presumed that one of many "bloody springs" in Kosovo would be celebrated with the mass gathering in all cities in the Province. Actually these "spontaneous" protests could (again) come up in new violence against Kosmet's Serbs.
Ramush Haradinaj, Kosovo Government Prime Minister in his interview for Novosti had confirmed that the 17th of March would not be repeated, because "he knows what is he talking about". I guarantee it. I am trying to make some progress every day. Something is happening in this society and that is what is important. I am working on social dialog", said Haradinaj.
The president of the security council in Serbia Assembly Milorad Mircic and SRS functionary claims for Glas that this party "always comes out with trustful information that are based upon the real facts and the bitter experience from the past". Mircic said that for now there are two scenarios of the possible unrest. According to the first, unrest would happen if the Hague tribunal indicts Haradinaj. The other is if Albanians start the screenplay of moving out of south Serbia. That would be the reason that them and theirs fellow Albanians from Kosmet would start with the exterminating of the rest of the Serbs in the Province.
