29 Nov (Epoka e Re, K-Albanian daily) - KFOR contributes in keeping the environment safe, aiming to arrange a trust by building a peaceful society where everybody can live, work and travel without fear.
Last week KFOR's MNB(C) assisted the Hellenic Red Cross in placing 21 containers from Leposavic to Gracanica. They also helped to reestablish nine other containers that were placed there before.
These 30 containers will be used as temporary accommodations for the Kosovo Serbs that live in Gracanica since the time when the violence that started last March. These people will live in the containers until their houses are repaired.
"I'm very happy that I can help these people" said an official from the Hellenic Humanitarian NGO. "It is very nice to see KFOR, HO, the Red Cross and the municipality cooperating with each other".
With a couple of trailer trucks on experienced personnel from MNB(C) and the Red Cross was organized the transport of the containers. The operation was also helped by the Danish soldiers from MNB (NE); they were responsible to operate with the crane.
Hellenic Humanitarian NGO will help the people that are staying temporary in the containers. They will do their duty by cooperating with UNMIK, the domestic Red Cross and Gracanica municipality.
