Pristina, 29 Nov (Radio Television Kosovo, news in Albanian) - The European Union repeated the doubt if Ramush Haradinaj is the best person to be the Kosovo Prime Minister. By expressing his personal and institutional support for UNMIK chief, Javier Solana, chief of European diplomacy said that he personally doubts if someone who could be accused by Tribunal Hague is an adequate person to continue the work of standards.
Today it was repeated again that the number one priority in Kosovo remains the implementation of standards that will open the roads to talk about the final status. If we don't have success on standards on the determined date then it is going to be very hard to continue with the process on the middle of 2005. Therefore Solana repeated that Kosovans need to carefully think about the appointment of Prime Minister.
The NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Schaffer didn't want to comment the proposal for Kosovo PM. He said that we need to wait and see how the political processes are going to be developed. However Schaffer said that KFOR is going to be there to keep security and stability in Kosovo. While according to him Kosovans need to be engaged in implementing the standards. The decision of Serbs to boycott the elections he qualified it as a mistake and said that it would be a mistake again if they don't accept the seats in the parliament because the process of standards requests the participation of Kosovo Serbs as well.
