Kostunica: No independent Kosovo and no division, BKTV

Belgrade, BK TV, November 15 -A solution for Kosovo should be sought in the European perspective of the region, said Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, underlining this was neither division nor independence of the province. Kostunica reiterated that idea of the division of Kosovo is not a solution and that it is not feasible, and added that such division would "influence other divisions as well."

Kostunica assessed the possibility of the international community saying that Kosovo is independent as unachievable, underlining that a compromise solution must be found. According to him, there is not a better solution than the Serbian Government plan. That plan offers self-government for Serbs in the province, not because they would have a higher degree of implementing rights, but because they would acquire elementary rights, the Serbian prime minister stressed in an interview to BK TV.
