Despite the difficulties in which Serb Orthodox Christians live in Kosovo and Metohija today the spirit of faith and hope has never been so strong among the Serbian people.

On July 28, fifteen new brothers and sisters were received in the Holy Church through a traditional baptism in the Bistrica pond near Decani Monastery. All the catechumenss arrived that day to Decani under KFOR military escort only to experience the joy of the baptism at the historical site of Decani Monastery.

As many times in the history of the Church it has been proved that wherever there is suffering the Church is spiritually stronger and Christians firmer in their faith.

I pored teskoca u kojima zive srpski pravoslavni hriscani na Kosovu i Metohiji danas, duh vere i nade cini se nikada nije bio tako snazan u srpskom narodu.

Jula 28. 2002. god. petnaest novih hriscana primljeni su u Svetu Crkvu tradicionalnim krstenjem pogruzenjem na obalama reke Bistrice pored manastira Visoki Decani. Katihumeni su dosli toga dana u Decane pod vojnom pratnjom KFOR-a samo da bi osetili radost krstenja na istorijskim prostorima manastira Decani.
