Information about the involvement of Islamic millitants in training and financial support of the Kosovo Liberation Army rebels in Kosovo are slowly emerging in many press reports. It appears that the CIA had precise information about this from the very beginning. Nevertheless the KLA terrorists, the majority of which are Muslim, keep using the similar methods like Islamic Millitants both in Kosovo and Macedonia. Financing of the etnire organization which still exists under different names despite the official disbandment in Sep 1999 are deeply rooted in heroin traffic, weapon smuggling, prostitution and other criminal activities carried out through the intricate network of Albanian mafia all around Europe. The following news articles demonstrate that this association is not just a prejudice but is based on concrete facts seen and testified by Western independent press. The photo left allegedly found in one of KLA strongholds and published in Serbian media even more arouses the suspicion of Islamic links in Kosovo. |
ALBANIAN TERRORISTS - Islamic influence
Milan V. Petkovic, 1998 -- A particular intensification of Iranian activity in Albania and Kosovo and Metohija was registered after the meting of Islamic countries held in Jeddah in 1994, and the meeting of the D-8 group of Islamic countries held in Istanbul in 1996. Actually, the Balkan peninsula was chosen as a beachhead for an organized penetration of Islam into Europe. The escalation of terrorism in Kosovo and Metohija in 1997 and 1998, marked the beginning of a new phase of the long term plan that Teheran has prepared for the Balkans. |
