Decani Monastery is one of the most beautiful Serbian Orthodox Monastery. It is situated in a valley beneath the slopes of Prokletije Mountains in Western part of Kosovo known as METOHIA - the land of monasteries. On the southern side of the monastery is a centuries old pine forest planted by monks in 16th century. To the north is the river BISTRICA which springs out high in the mountains.
