Pristina,
22 Apr (Tanjug) - The coalition Povratak is strongly opposed to the ethnic
Albanian idea to reintroduce in the parliamentary procedure the initiative
for adopting a resolution on the protection of the fight of the Kosovo
Liberation Army (KLA), Povratak whip in the Kosovo parliament Dragisa
Krstovic said Tuesday.
Krstovic said that the Serb deputies are opposed, even in combination with
the international community, to the "legalization of the KLA war, because
KLA members are responsible for the murder and kidnapping of several
thousands Serbs and the expulsion of 230,000 Serbs."
Ivanovic Hopes Parliaments Will Reject Resolution
Kosovo parliament presidency member Oliver Ivanovic on Tuesday expressed
hope that the provincial parliament would once again refuse to adopt a new
resolution on the protection of the fight of the Kosovo Liberation Army
(KLA).
Ivanovic set out that it is unacceptable for someone to once again try to
protect the struggle of the KLA at the moment when the UNMIK chief is
declaring its remnants, the so-called Albanian National Army, as
terrorists.

BELGRADE
-- Tuesday – The Coordination Centre for Southern Serbia has confirmed
that KFOR have arrested Shefqet Musliu, a member of the disbanded illegal
Liberation Army of Preseveo, Bujanovac and Medvedja.
The capture follows the issuing of an Interpol warrant for the arrest of
militant Musliu on charges of assault, extortion and illegal possession of
arms.
The Coordination Centre also confirmed that Beshim Tahiri, a member of
Musliu’s ‘unit’, was arrested in Bulgaria a few days ago.
Serbian police and international forces are continuing to search for a
third member, Lirim Jakupi, who is believed to be hiding in Albania or
elsewhere in the region.
Musliu is alleged to have incited unrest among Albanians in southern
Serbia by pressuring them with intimidation, threats and harassment to
join the Liberation Army.

OTHER NEWS
FROM RADIO JUGOSLAVIA
KFOR representatives supported the decision of the UNMIK head to declare
the so-called Albanian National Army as a terrorist organization, pointing
out that the KFOR is ready to defeat the forces which are endeavouring to
destabilize the situation in Kosmet. The international forces use
specialized services, in order to deal by all means with the groups of
extremists who represent a threat for the normalizing of the situation in
the province, the KFOR representatives pointed out. They also announced
that two persons who represent a threat to the security in Kosmet have
been apprehended in the US base Bondstill near Urosevac, not disclosing
more details.
The UNMIK Head Michael Steiner proclaimed as null and void each document
or resolution in contradiction with the position of the UN Security
Council and the Constitutional Frameworks for Kosmet, stated UNMIK
spokesman in Pristina Christian Linden Meyer. UNMIK pledges for a
multi-ethnic Kosovo where all citizens will have equal rights, underlined
Linden Meyer, on the occasion of Albanian parties’ announcement in Kosmet
Assembly that they would adopt resolution on the protection of the
struggle of the so-called Liberation Army of Kosovo.
In the meantime, it has been announced that the Kosovo Assembly Presidency
has not discussed today new draft resolution on the recognition of the
struggle of the so-called Liberation Army of Kosovo, leaving it for one of
the forthcoming sessions.
