Monastery Relief Fund :
CHILDREN RELIEF CAMPAIGN The Children Relief Campaign of the DMRF began during the February 2002 and will be continued as long as there are children which need our assistence. Due to very difficult situation in Kosovo and especially the absence of free and safe movement we have not yet managed to distribute all money intended for the poor children. Nevertheless, our brethren are full of enthusiasm and have established very good contact with children who are so happy to know that there are so many good people from the United States who care about them. So far we have visited four villages and distributed donations to 109 children who live in most difficult conditions. So far in the Children Relief Campaign we have distributed 4.477 USD. In the same time the monastery has continued the regular support to poor families and individuals both in Kosovo and Central Serbian refugee centers. Special attention was paid to fuel and winter clothing. The regular support was continued to nuns at Gorioc Monastery, near Istok as well as to the elderly Serb women in Djakovica.
We kindly ask you to help us continue our important mission and send your donations for CHILDREN RELIEF CAMPAIGN. For your convenience, you can send your donations directly to the address of our Decani Monastery Relief Fund in Baltimore MD - USA. Donations sent to our address in USA are tax deductible and the full amount of your donation is delivered to the children, without any deduction or expense. The Monastery will distribute donations to the children and send back the list of children to the donors, upon request. The names of donors will be also published on the Monastery Web Site, as well as, on our regular web page of the Decani Monastery Relief Fund Report . If you cannot send a monetary donation, at this time, please consider sending a prayer, a letter or a post card that we will deliver to the children, to show that we have not forgotten them.
